time for new reports from the crazy Houston!
First time: God is so real! It really exists and I experience it every day here. I can see better than we he is at work here!
I do not know who is reading it all to my blog, family, friends, atheists, believers, schoolmates, and people I do not even know you. But I really want to be honest and you mind to share what God does in my life and the lives of so many people here may you in Houston ... in the hope that you also realize and understand that on my blog God is real, absolutely wonderful and it is hope, peace, love, mercy, grace, joy, and eternal life.
Sun that I had to get rid times.
And Walker and Andrew arrived back last Monday in Houston. We are very glad to have them back there. Very nice, we have the all!
Back to a little German structure ...
Tuesday: HIV work: the women there, it goes on the whole good, with some of the disease makes it a real problem and that their immune system deteriorates further and further. Nevertheless, full of zeal and dedication many of the women are in the prayers there and enjoy the Tuesday mornings with us. While we girls with us the women talk, and I partly because of the strong-Black Texan accent, only half understand, are the boys to paint several rooms of the women again.
1960 Since we were already no longer the last 2 weeks. And it was nice back a few familiar faces of the homeless seen. Red is for almost 2 weeks in the program - praise God for that. Previously, he was also one of the homeless alcoholic in 1960. He has come to decide it. I hope so that more decisions from the nice people there for that.
Teenstreet: We are strong in planning for that matter Teenstreet program. Very interesting.
Street Church: With a little Rain and still a lot of people I was busy this week with a 6-month-old baby - very sweet, a little uneasy. We have it still attracted more clothes, since it was very cold. There was good food, good music and good preaching. Clothes for granted, a raffle, and many faces, each carrying its own history with it.
From babysitting:
Thursday evening we have babysitting girls. 5 children, from parents to join a training for foster families. That was funny. Rumgetobe, games, Toilettenausfluege, and little strife. This was a good time
And Friday morning I was quite a while for a really great family here in the Woodlands. This family has 5 of your own and 3 foster children, they will adopt soon. The three siblings and is the smallest degree by 6 weeks old. Oh, So what of sweet that you do not believe. Anyway, it was so nice to help the family. And although there were a few tantrums and a lot of ". Do not do that stop it, put it back, do not hit each other, be nice, go sit there til you're nice again" was, I had ne had a lot of fun and enjoyed the time. Man, I can not think of even more how much I miss Kimmy and Jenna!
Street Reach: Wooohoooo. Here is a highlight of the week. So here I am again landed in Kim's group, and here we are again, the drag queens rennend afterwards. What an adventure. At first everything was pretty quiet, but then, a brilliant and divine encounter after another. Fantastic. God does not let go. Matt (thought out name, real name because I can not say so publicly), we have taken two weeks ago. Pretty bored and seeking a young man we just this week, running at the same time and at the same pavements way. And he tells us how he can not believe in Jesus if he has not presented itself to him and disclosed. So we pray for him. So cool.
addition to the other hammer encounters with drag queens and crazy people on the streets of Sodom, um Montrose, here is something that has me umgehaun. A young man dressed as a woman (drag queen), root, wigs, Skirt, blouse, high heels, make-up. Sitting in crass drag queen bar, until very resistant and annoyed by a crazy church group. An hour later we meet him again, outside the bar, get into a conversation ... he lives in the Woodlands (!) And asks if he can come as a man Sunday in the town! He told Kim a bit about him and then leaves. That was about the limit. Now we were now in the community, we all prayed for him this week and hoped that he might yet come. The service is over, Bob is nowhere to be seen. And then ... who comes to Josh and asks for the people by Friday and the lady with the blond hair (Kim)? It's Bob. The real Bob. As a man, wearing a suit, normal and . Masculine So crazy. We hurry and get Kim and Martin. They come three in a good conversation, pray together, and Bob is unfolding ... crying ... this week will again meet with them.
What can you say? It's so genail, right? God is so faithful, he NEN plan for Bob's life, he wants to get him out of this misery out to redeem him. And another on top. Bob is married with a woman who thanked with a text message from us that we were interested in her husband, invited him into the Church.
That just blew my mind I do not know if this experience is important here really over, but I was just amazed at how God works and how good he is. Please pray for Bob, The aim was to him not very good, and that God brings him out from this hard and difficult time in his life, release him and drags him to himself.
Another highlight: Even God has given us the possibility to connect with Jordan (19 year old girl that works in a brothel) in contact. She is doing quite well so far. We hope for a meeting next Wednesday. Here, too, prayer is so urgently necessary.
The Bridges: allow more and more opportunities to get to know the kids better and to tell them about the Bible. In addition to the skating and crafts, I ask them again and again to the Bible verses and it is so great, how many of the kids are so good about it. Simple just awesome!
Even with Youtch Reach is God so there. The boys again played basketball and tried to ride the donkey, haha, who has thrown down the guys of course. (Funny videos we have of it, maybe I can post even one).
And then in the Bible of an hour we went to Psalm 18 and fears that we have. So cool, how many of the guys were so honest. afraid to come to the hell, fear of being alone, fear of failure, fear of man, fear not to meet expectations of people. Total interesting and good that we had the opportunity to pray with them and so ...
I am today and yesterday drove a car (the Grand Marquis). I've probably missed. So cool.
And I'm in the 2nd Chronicle. Very interesting.
And next to "Captivating" I read a book about a 13-year-old girl was sold into prostitution in India ("Sold"), which prepared me very well on our mission trip to India in May. It is very sad but touching and so real
Find it here in Houston have really great!

Who am I, O Lord my God, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
1 Chronicles 17:16
It's time for crazy news from Houston.
First of all I want to tell you guys that God is so real I'm experiencing Him here every day, seeing that he's at work here!
I do not know who is reading my blog, but it's probably so many different people. Family, friends, believers, non-believers, people I do not even know.
But I really want to be honest on my blog, telling you about the great things God is doing in my life and in the lives of so many people here in Houston. I wanna share this with you, hoping that you all might also see and experience how real, absolutely wonderful God is and that He has hope, peace. love, mercy, grace, joy and eternal life for YOU in store.
I just wanted to let you guys know that!
Alright: Our lovely Walkers and Andrew are back in Houston, yay. We're so glad to have them back. we love them all. Still missing Karen though, she'll be here next week.
Back to a little german structure again...
HIV-ministry: Most of the women there are doing alright, but there are some who are really struggling with their disease and their immunsystem at the moment. Still, they are devoted and interested in the bible studies every tuesday morning. While we are with the ladies, chatting with them, the boys are painting the rooms with new colors...
1960: We haven't been at 1960 for 2 weeks now. So it was great to be there again and see some familiar faces again. Red, who also lived down there on the streets, has been in the programs for 2 weeks now, and we're so glad about that. Red decided to get out of this life and we all hope that there will be more people from 1960 who decide to take this chance and let God change their lives.
Teenstreet: We're having Teenstreet meetings during the week, talking about the program and the life of David. Its so good and interesting. I'm really looking forward to Teenstreet Germany. All of you guys should come there :) It's gonna be awesome!
Street Church: With some rain and still loads of people I was with a 6 months old Baby this week- very cute, kinda anxious though. We put some more clothes on her, cuz she was freezing cold. They had great food, great music, and a good message this week. There were clothes to give away, a raffle, and loads of people, who all have their own story. I hope this week God could touch some of those.
About Babysitting this week:
Thursday night wen babysittet for 5 kids whose parents are doing a training to become Foster-parents. It was fun. wrestling, games, trips to the bathroom, little fights, snacks, movie. It was a fun time.
Friday morning I had the chance to be with the kids of a great family here in Houston, who have 5 if their own kids and three Foster-kids. The three of them are sibling and the youngest one is only 6 weeks old. Absolutely gorgeous and cute!!! And although we had loads of: "No, Stop it, put it back, be nice to each other, sit down til you're nice again, don't do that.." it was such a fun time and its great to be able to help out a little. wow, this made me miss Jenna and Kimmy even more.
Street Reach: Whooohoo. Here comes on of the HIGHLIGHTS of this week. Ok, so I'm in Kim-s group again, running after and chasing Dragqueens. What an adventure. First everything was pretty quiet, but then, Bam, Bam...one divine encounter after another. It was absolutely amazing how God led us. God just never lets go. We met Matt again, a guy that we've met two weeks before on the same street, the same time. He told us how he can't really believe in Jesus, if he hasnt introduced or revealed himself yet. So we prayed for him and I'm so sure, God has an incredible plan for his life.
Besides all the other great appointements in Sodom, aehm Montrose, I wanna share one more with you, cuz this one just blew my mind. So a young man, a Dragqueen, red wig, skirt, blouse, highheels, Make-Up. He's sitting in the crazy Dragueen-bar, first being a little rejective and annoyed by this crazy group of christians. But an hour or so later, we meet him again outside the bar. Kim gets to talk to him, he lives in the Woodlands (!) and asks her if he can come to Church this sunday. He tells her a little bit more about himself and then leaves. So we went to church this sunday, we all had been praying for him and hoping that he might come. After the service, guess who comes up to Josh asking for Kim? It is Bob!! The Bob we've met on the Streets. And it is Bob in a suit, no make up, just a man (we could hardly recognize him). We were all amazed by God's timing and wonders and just the way he does things. I mean what can I say? God is just so faithful. This week Bob will meet with them again and we all are just praying that God might redeem him, save him out of this misery he's in right now. Later on we found out, that he has a wife, who actually texted us saying Thank you that we reached out to her husband.
well, that was just amazing, maybe it doesnt seem like it when u read it right now, but it definitely IS amazing what God's doing. Please be praying for Bob.
Another Highlight: we've been in contact with Jordan again (19 year old girl, that is working in a brothel) She;s doing alright, and we hope we get to see her soon. It's so important to be praying for her.
The Bridges: There are more and more opportunities to get to know the kids better and talk about the bible. Besides all the fun crafts we're doing and all the skating with the boys, I'm asking them about the bible verse, that they need to memorize, and its so cool, that there are some who really know it every week!
Youth Reach: Also at Youth Reach God is so at work. The guys played basketball together and some of them tried to ride on a real donkey, which just bashed them down (we have some fun videos, i'll try to post one soon). In our little bible study we talked about psalm 18 and about fears. It was so cool, how many of the guys were so honest talking about their fears. Fear to go to hell, fear to be alone, fear to fail, fear of man, and fear not to fulfill expectations people have on us. It was grand.
This week I got to drive again (Grand Marquis). Oh, I really missed driving.
Also, I'm in 2 Chronicles now, which is real interesting.
Besides Captivating I'm reading a book about a 13 year old girl, that has been trafficked from Nepal to India, she was sold into prostitution. This Book is amazing and its such a good preperation for our India mission trip this coming may. Its so sad, but really touching and real.
I really love it here in Houston. Enjoying and learning every day. (As the pastor of Woodsedge said: Be a learner every day)
Yesterday we went to church of course, which I enjoy so much, Five oaks, Derek's B-Day and loads of time outside in the sun.
Now I'm gonna rest and get some energy for a new week. My 9th week here in Houston.
Love y'all and miss you.
And I'm always glad to hear back from you guys! Thanks for your prayer!
Love, Lisa!
