Washing Instruction For North Face Fleece

Virtual Paintout-Islas Canarias 2

This is my second and last entry for the Virtual Paintout Blog, a view showing a landscape near Vega de San Mateo, Gran Canaria, Spain. - I only used the left part of the view for the painting and then created the landscape at the right side like I thought it should be. F.e., I missed out the houses in the background. I had much fun creating the textures in the foreground. I used at least three or four different layers for them.

This is my second and last entry to the Virtual Pain Tout blog for this month. It shows a landscape near Vega de San Mateo Gran Canaria. - I used only the left part of the outlook as originals, the right side I painted the way I thought he would have to be painted, that is, I left the houses in the background away completely. It gave me a lot of fun to make the textures in the foreground. I used at least three or four different glazes for it.

Does Carbon Monoxide Leave A Bad Taste

God is Love.

Hello people ...

Now I must go to two brilliant weeks here in Houston for you to summarize ...

In Street Church I have pulled me back in the final weeks of the child care, as it were many incredible volunteers, and I just wanted to talk to the people. And in the last two weeks I have so learned to know some lovely people! Of young Mothers whose children are in foster care, about nice people who come straight from prison to a homeless elderly man who loves God very much and is plunged back again for 2 years in the painting. He loves God's creation to paint. His drawings are really great - Jilly and I are in there too.
I'm overwhelmed by the incredible heart of these different people, from grief and the pain they carry me, but also by hope and love that sprout from them! It's great to build a relationship with these people and they take him to prayer. Man, I'm going to miss so much that you do not believe!

The time here has taught me so much. My view on this People have changed themselves. And for that I am so grateful. I mean when I walk through the main street in Heidelberg, then I turned deliberately to the homeless not to have to look into the eyes.
I do not know if I when I get home then actually do something to come but I know that I am, people no longer see with my eyes would like, but through God's eyes, they would like to meet with God's mercy and love.

Friday I was the last time Downtown Montrose. There was a lot going on. I was in Kim's group, that means we have spoken with many drag queens and prayed with them. But also young people, homeless people and Clubgaenger us have gone over the road. Absolutely cool to see that God has led us to so many people.

"The Bridges" has learned his 8 Fernando Bible verses by heart, and has received a Certificate and his own skateboard. He was very happy and we too, as he all 8 verses on it was really good! That made me really happy.

what is so been going on here? SO MUCH.

Our commitment to the "spa's" again was great, yet sometimes unbearable! These girls see in there, trapped, alone, abused, humiliated and lost breaks my heart! And I do not have to fight so much anger and hate to feel for the managers and customers. But in the end are even worse off ... and even these people are we, like Jesus, love.
The last time we made our rounds, routiert many of the girls in the various spas, making it difficult to stay in contact with the girls, what we saw in Jordan.

In HIV work in the Young Hope is involved, it is the time to give about testimony and it can be seen as exciting as many of the women a journey to make in her old life without God and remember the day where they have said 'yes' to God. Others have little difficulty with the whole. I sang a few songs with the women. That was nice.

in the village last week we have the father Our own words in our language on stage, that was cool.
And each of us has a team in the youth service told about a service of Hope and Young about what God is doing in our lives. Last week I was in it and it was really fun. I hope God can use me and can speak in the lives of these teens. I get really more a heart for the student ministry here and the teens here.

between, we are blessed by loving, and very nice families that invite our team to be. I love our team! SOOOO nice people I'll miss so incredible. But I see them again soon!

Oh, last Friday we had another special event. 8 girls from the juvenile detention center were for 2 hours in the community and we we've been crafting a beautiful program with food, volleyball, music, and creative. The theme was "God makes beautiful things out of dust", which will also be the topic for our India trip. There is also a brilliant song:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR7VOKQ0xJY (check it out - its so good)

It certainly was so cool to see the girls again to talk with them and with them hope to go on the road. God can turn the ashes after its fire, through which they pass in beauty! God will use her life and he loves to be incredible!

did this weekend I much with Katy and her cousin Dustee spent, which is here for a weekend of Oklahoma flown forth to get away from home and get a hard time. We had a great time! God is the master of Connections! Unbelievable! I'm amazed how God is brilliant!

It was very difficult in the past few days in some Ministries "Goodbye" to friends and children to say!

What I have ever experienced before nor will I be able to tell you hopefully soon in live, it is difficult to put into words what God has taught me here and what the experiences I had.

you soon, friends!

I'll post soon a few more photos for you.

Here's a totally cool Song:

Did you love!

Virtual Paintout-Islas Canarias

In April, the theme for the virtual pain tout are the Canary Islands in Spain. Every participant must use a view found through Google Street View as the reference for the painting or drawing. I found my motif near San Agustin, Gran Canaria.
Although I share the opinion of some people who are skeptical regarding google street view in general, I have to admit that it can be a fantastic tool for artists.

In April, we have the Tout Virtual Pain Blog the topic of "Canary Islands". Each participant must use an image that he has found through Google Street View. I found my close San Agustin, Gran Canaria.

Although I share the view of many people, the Google Street View are very skeptical must admit I do that it can be extremely useful for artists.

Lovin it ... Houston rocks.

Hello my friends.

Short update about the last week for you, I

's still great here and I do not want to leave.
The work and various services here (working with the homeless, prostitutes, youth, street children, women with HIV, etc.) are really great! However, I must admit
that I miss you all and I look forward to it very much you to see again!

So here are some highlights:
Wednesday
have Josh and I ran the Worship at Church Street . It has totally been fun, even though it rained in between. And I think we do it again soon.
There were many people there, and the twins, Josh and Debs for had a week were made at the Church Street to a different family from the community. Unbelievable how the little one can grow in just one week to the heart.

And Karen from Ireland is finally here again! Juhu!

We're still the Teenstreet to plan program and I think it looks so far been very good.

This week was our Celebrity Brennemen Greg. Totally cool about his life to hearing and his heart for God. Full nice that he has taken time for us.

After a few weeks we have finally made a visit to the brothels .
On the road in 1960 alone are 120 different brothels (here only "spa" gennant). It really is cruel! Young girls from all around the world will be her kidnapped and held prisoner and prostitute. I had before I came here her has never been really thinking about it, but human trafficking is a terrible extent here and everywhere in the world. Houston is the No. 1 of "Human Trafficking".
Thursday we have made us reflect on the way ... 7 different spas located close together. The boys are waiting always in the car, and pray with us.
There was a situation where my heart is almost stand still. In a spa we just got in never, as they have never opened. This time we had a plan. Andrew rang ... and ... of course, the door opened ... the moment we came out of the car and went inside. The small response was as usual. Couches, ATM. Then we have only seen two Asian, young eyes that have looked out of a mini gap at the door. As perhaps through something like grad fit an envelope. So bad. The girl did not understand any English, could not get anything out of it. We have the cookies and then put down simply wanted to get out. The door did not go on (for two seconds my heart stopped briefly) but then it seems that someone pressed a button and opened the door. Phuuu ... the guys were almost ready to come clean.
It is not as dangerous as it sounds, most of the doors are open and that was a really creepy Laden, then we have immediately disclosed the information to the head of the work, and hopefully soon the police will make an inspection and the " prison make "finally sealed.
For all those who pray for Jordan. The manager of the Spa has told us that she was not there (I do not believe that she was telling the truth). And when we tried to call her, we were told that the number does not exist any more! So stupid. I am so disappointed and make me really worry about Jordan, where it is, it is pointed. Maybe it was shipped a new one brothel, and she got a new phone. Please pray for them and that God protected them and that we can see again, or at herrausfinden where she is.

In "The Bridges" was re-crafted, and two of the guys have skated this week received its last verse, and this week will get their skateboard. Totally cool! Then

were Karen, Jilly and I with Preacher Joe Downtown (Street Reach) ... times exceptionally not a huge group, but only 4 people, which was totally cool. We could talk to some people. Some of them were very drunk, took drugs, homeless, or transvestites. Many were open to pray with us. Real sad to see all the people. Lost, hopeless, lifeless, sick, bitter, closed off, trapped, broken, desperate, dependent, hungry and thirsty for LIFE!

Saturday I spent time with Katy (the 13-year-old daughter of the couple, where I live) and her friend and was able to get to know two really better! Totally cool!

Sunday community, with great worship and great preaching. Then we were in the youth service, where Jilly and Josh have briefly introduced a service from us. We do more in the future work with the student ministry. Next week I think it ... oh dear ... :) Then there

"Spring Festival" was in Woods Edge. Many stalls, games, food, etc for children and families. There were also many people from the neighborhood and I think as well as Five Oaks. And it was SOOO hot outside.

My host family has invited the team back home. They are really so sweet! I am so grateful that I can be here and how much they are a blessing for me.

Oh yes, I am currently in the Bible in Job. Something difficult and yet interesting.

and the highlight of the week: Karen and Andrew are engaged. Juhu. I am so happy with them!

Well, it's go.
Love yall and miss yall
:)

silk richly blessed! In 16 days I come on back home, for those who miss me a bit;)

Lisa

Hello my dear friends.

Here's a short update about the last week for you ..

I'm still doing very well here in houston! Enjoying every single day and God's teaching me a lot of things about his heart.

The different inner city ministries and working with homeless, street kids, youth, women with HIV, prostitutes, drag queens ... is just AMAZING!

Still, I do miss you guys and I'm looking forward to see u so soon.

So here are some Highlights of the last week:

Wednesday was Street Church, where Josh and myself had the chance to lead Worship. It was great. I really enjoyed it, although it was raining the first half of the worship time. I hope we get to do that again soon.

We had a bunch of people there, and the little twins, that Josh and Debs had for a week, were given to another family from Church. It's unbelievable how you can get to love those little girls in a week.

We're also still working on the Teenstreet program and I think it looks real good so far.

Our celebrity this week was Greg Brennemen! It was so amazing to hear about his life and his heart for God.

Yay!! Karen is back from Ireland. Finally! So good to have her back.

After so amny weeks of not going to the brothels, we finaly got to go again. On 1960 there are around 120 brothels (Spa's). So awful. Young girls from all over the world are being sold and trafficked and brought into the US. Before I got here I had never really thought about this issue in the world, but it's tremendous how big Human trafficking is in the US.

So on thursday we went out to the Spas again. About 7 different Spas on 1960. The guys were waiting in the car, praying for us and making sure we're not in danger.

We never got into this one Spas, although it said open, so we decided to send Andrew in there, and of course, they opened. So the girls, us, jumped out of the car and got in. It was really kinda creepy. The only thing we saw, were two asian young eyes that looked through this tiny opening in the door. She didnt speak english at all, so we couldnt really talk to her. After we just left the cookies we wanted to get out but the door didnt open. I had tried it twice and it didnt open - that was a moment where we were about to panic a little. But then someone supposably pushed a button so we could open the door. This was really kinda scary and so sad, and I'm sure, that this is not a place where girls are in by choice.

One thing, we are all really dissappointed and sad about is, that we didnt see Jordan this week. We were really looking forward to see her again, but they told us she wasnt there. We tried to call her but her number does apparently not exist anymore. Im really kinda worried about her. So please be praying for Jordan!!!! That God might protect her, rescue her, and shut down these places, that are like hell for these girls.

At " The Bridges" this week we did crafts again, skated and two young boys got their last bible verse this week so next week they will have their "graduation" and will receive their own Skateboards. I'm so excited about that!

Karen, Jilly and I went out to Montrose again, we were only 4 people, with preacher Joe, which was amazing cause it was a smaller group than usually. We got to talk and pray with some of the people down there. Some of them were really drunk, stoned, homeless, or dragqueens. It is SO sad and heartbreaking to see each person, that is so unique, precious, valuable and loved in Gods eyes, being just devastated, lost, lifeless, sick, bitter, withdrawn, broken, addicted, hurt, hungry, needy, desperate, and thirsty for LIFE!!!!

On saturday I got to spend some time with Katy (13) and her friend. That was REALLY nice and we had loads of fun.

Sunday church with a great message and great worship. Then we went to the Youth service where Jilly and Josh talked a little about our ministries and what God's been showing them in the last few months. I think it's my time next week...

Then we had the Woodsedge "Spring Fest" where they had loads of fun things to do, games, food and the weather was brilliant. After the nice festival, we were invited to the family I live with. They had lovely food for us and good fellowship. They are SO nice and I'm so grateful that I'm staying with them. They are such a blessing.

And the HIGHLIGHT of the week: Karen and Andrew are engaged!! Awww, So amazing! I am so excited for them!!! Congratulations you two!!!

At the moment I'm in Job, which is kind of a challenge. It'sn kinda hard to read but also real interesting ... I'm still looking forward to get through it.

Alright, gotta go.

Love you guys very much and for those who miss me, I'll be home in 16 days. :)

Be richly blessed!

Love, Lisa

Visiting Münters and Kandinskys house

The other day, I was visiting my aunt. Together with my cousin, we made a little walk at the edge of the Alps and later, we went to Murnau and walked to the so-called "Russian house", where the painter Gabriele Münter (you can see the little house if you follow the link) lived together with Wassily Kandinsky. - Although it is not really far away, I have never been there. The house is overlooking the town center of Murnau and I found that it is a very special place...
As my aunt does watercolours as well, she showed me her last paintings (very well done, hopefully she will start a blog, too) and her palette and seeing it all, I just couldn't help and made this painting, using her colours. It is a very interesting experience indeed to paint with colours from the palette of another artist. It gives insights and new inspiration. I can only recommend it.

I recently visited my aunt. Together with my cousin, we had a nice walk on the edge of the Alps and later we went into it to Murnau, the so-called § Russia House ", where Gabriele Munter together with Wassily Kandinsky lived. Although the place is not very far away, I had never been there. The house overlooks the old town of Murnau and I think that it is a very special place ...
Since my aunt paints and she showed me her last works (very nice, hopefully it starts soon a blog) and their range, and when I saw all this, I could not help paint a quick picture of this, with their colors. It is a very interesting experience to paint with the colors of others. There are insights and inspiration. I can only enpfehlen to follow.

Happy Easter my friends!

I hope all of you had a great week!
My week was very good. Let me tell you about it.

The weather is super nice. It has even become really hot and high humidity. In summer it is supposed to be here unbearable. But as far as we enjoy the weather completely.

Monday was Staff-meeting, study and blogging time, and our weekly meetings with one of our leaders. I recommend passing another movie "Human Trafficking" very good movie about human trafficking and prostitution. Super film, and unfortunately, the reality of this world.

Tuesday we were with the women in the "HIV-residence". We had had a brilliant Bible class and talked about the body of Christ and the church and then had an interesting discussion. The boys have again painted a few rooms ready and it was beautiful, some of them shocking to hear about the lives of women. And
evening were Jilly and I baby-sit again with 7 children love.

was something special this week. Josh and Debs have last week Tuesday to get 19 months old twins. Foster children for about 2 weeks, their mother a Training makes. The girls were not in good condition, both physically and mentally. But in this one week, the girls at Walker's in which so much time and they have been with us all and we took good care of them you can already see such a great alteration in the girls. The two are really wild and explore everything all the time. Very sweet girl and the two now much happier. Although they are sugar-sweet, they have kept us all pretty Trabb and if not just a minute look, you've found something that they can be put in the mouth. The
2 Wednesday will go to a family from the community who have no children and thus have more time for the kids. There they are for longer Time to stay. picked

Since the Debs girls from the hospital has at 3 I helped her the next morning. Our entire team is helping with the girls.

Jeff Wells, the pastor of Woods Edge, was this week our "Celebrity" (we call it the only way ... is not really a celebrity) He has told us about his service and his life, what was really inspiring and exciting. Here are some sentences which I am stuck:

-God uses pain and suffering through which we go through.
-Learn something new every day. Hoer learn never to things.
read many books:) I have developed a new interest in books, as Pastor Jeff tells us a lot about some great books added.

night we were in church, where we were six interns presented again officially and prayed for us.

Oh yes, Friday we went to "The Bridges" yay. One of the boys this week got his second to last verse, and will soon get his skateboard. We have tinkered and the twins had fun. Unfortunately I have my toe dolle angehaun and I only thought it was broken ... but I believe it is only sprained pretty doll. Is also much better. In any case, Bridges was full well this week.

And in the evening at Street Reach Timroy and I have started a group. We were so 9 total. With water bottles and snacks, we have kept the lookout for people. It was pretty quiet on Good Friday and we have prayed really, for the people hang out all the crazy in all the clubs, or prostitutes, drug dealers, alcoholics or homeless. Towards the end we met a young group that was standing in front of a big club. They were totally open and almost everyone had had a prayer request. As we prayed for them, has a girl (20) also prayed, and she was definitely a believer. Later we learned that it is straight out of rehab and drug addict and was now trying somehow in the night life and party and to find satisfaction. It was an incredible encounter. And I know God has a plan for them!

with VERY little sleep this weekend, went further last week with a use in Five Oaks (somewhat poorer neighborhood in the vicinity of the community). There, a team of Woods Edge, and we spent about 600 different meals and we have had in the park a little Easter. Face - painting, crafts, games, prizes, egg hunt, etc. There were really a lot of kids there. Then there was also this Saturday Timroys birthday. And in the evening we have celebrated together. Was a very funny evening.

And again with little sleep Sunday morning, we have helped to welcome the guests in the community. About East see were determined up to 4000 people in Woods Edge. It was an absolute genius Easter worship. Andrew has given his testimony and rapping. I had goose bumps. Total moving. The afternoon is spent in the park and Easter and Josiah's birthday celebration. (Happy Birthday)

That was a very special weekend! Good Friday: A day on which we remember that Jesus died for you and for me. Because he loves us so much, he has given her own support, so we were able to eternal life. When the time is not the hammer! And that death has defeated him or something ... No, he is risen! And God has not left him. He has conquered death. He's alive. It was nice to celebrate it yesterday!
I hope this could you celebrate ....

Now I'm still tired from the weekend.
This week I came in the Bible is not really far. Still in 2 Chronicles, but just about ready be.
Ready for a new and exciting week here in Houston.

I'm doing very well here. It was a wicked week. My ninth Week. hard to believe. I do not want it to end!

But I miss you. Soon I'm back home.

Much love and many blessings!
Lisa

Happy Easter my dear Friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful week.
my week here in Houston was great. Let me tell you about it ...

The weather here is fabulous. It's so hot and humid. In summer its supposed to be unbearable.
uptil But now, we're really enjoying it.

Monday we had Staff-meeting , study-time, time to blog and One-on-One-meetings with our leaders. And by the way, here's a movie recommendation: "Human Trafficking". An amazing movie about human trafficking and how people are being sold into prostitution all over the world. Pretty good and real movie.

On tuesday we had the HIV-ministry again. We had an amazing bible-study about the church and the body of christ. Afterward we had a good group discussion! The guys finished to paint the rooms. It was good and also shocking sometimes to hear about the lives of these women.

In the evening, Jilly and I went Babysitting again. We had 7 kids this time.

This last week tuesday Josh and Debs got 19 months old twins for Foster-care. They are staying about 8 days. The girls were not nessecarily in good conditions, both physical and emotional. But in the last week we've seen an amazing change in the girls. They are really happy and so sweet, but also wild and want to discover everything, which kept us all busy. Wednesday the kids will go to a family from church and stay there a little longer. Debs had to pick them up at the hospital at 3 in the night, so we all helped her with the Babies.

Jeff Wells, pastor of Woodsedge was our "Celebrity" this week. He told us about his ministry and his life, which was really inspiring. Here are some statements, that stuck out to me:
- God uses pain and suffering in your life.
-Be a learner every day, learn something every day.

- read more books :) i got inspired to read way more books, because Jeff told us about some books he recommends to us.

In the evening we went to Worhsip and prayer service at Woodsedge and the church prayed for our group, which was great!

And Friday we were at "The Bridges" again. Yay! One of the little boys is almost finished with his bible verses and soon he will get his own Skateboard! He's really diligent and doing a great job in memorizing the verses. Tihs last week I bumped my toe and I thought it was broken, but I think its just really badly sprained. Its way better now though. But Bridges was real fun last week.

In the evening we had Street Reach and Timroy and I lead a group of maybe 9 people. We had Snacks and waterbottles, as every week, and looked out for people we can talk to and pray for. It was pretty quiet on this "Good friday". We prayed for all the people, that hang around in the those crazy clubs, are prostitutes or drug dealers down there, alcoholics or homeless. And God led us to a young group of people, who were standing in front of a huge club. They were actually pretty open and very friendly. It was so cool, that almost every single one of them had a prayer request, so we could pray for them. As we prayed infront of this club, a girl (20 years old) prayed as well and we found out that she's a believer!! So awesome. It was amazing to see that she actually prayed over us - so incredible. She just got out of Rehab, cause she was a drug addict and now she's trying to find her way in the clubs. It was her first night out there again and she meets us. how cool is that?! Good encounter! And I'm sure God has a plan for her life, we need to be praying that she'll grab Gods hand to draw her closer to his heart again.

With very little sleep we had our Easter-outreach at Five oaks trailer park. a team from Woodsedge gave out around 600 meals and we also had a little program for kids at the park. We had Face-painting, Crafts, games, prizes, and a big Egg hunt. There were loads of kids with their parents as well.
And it was Timroy's Birthday (Happy Birthday) this saturday, so we went out and celebrated, which was so much fun.

And again with little sleep we helped greeting the people at Woodsedge for the Easter service. It was an amazing Easter service where Andrew shared his testimony and rapped!! Woodsedge probably had around 4000 visitors on Easter weekend. We spent out Afternoon at a nice Park, celebrating Easter and also Josiah's Birthday (Happy Birthday)

I think this was a very special weekend. Good friday: A day, where we remember, that Jesus died for YOU and for ME. And he died because He loves you so much. This is why He gave himself, that WE all can have eternal life. Isn't that absolutely phenomenal!?! And death couldn't hold Him down, He conquered the grave and rose again. He has the victory over death, God didn't abandon Him. Jesus is alive and real. I thought it was amazing to celebrate that!!

And I really hope YOU also had the chance to celebrate that!!!

Now I'm still kinda tired from the weekend.
This last week I didnt get too far in the bible. I'm about to finish 2.Chronicles.
I'm ready fro a new week here in Houston.
I'm doing very well here and it was a fabulous 9th week. Crazy, already 9 weeks. I don't want it to end!

I miss you guys though. I'll be home soon.

Lots of Love and Blessings.

Do You Need A Life Vest With A Wetsuit

Happy Easter!

What Does A Heymen Look Like?

I painted with acrylic paints from my new Golden. They are called "Golden Open acrylics" wet and stay about three days. It is a real pleasure to paint with them, because they do not smell at all, but they are so soft and well-to-use.
I painted with my new acrylics of "Golden". They are called "Golden Open acrylics" and to remain moist and workable for up to three days. It's really fun to work with them, they are very smooth and well used.

Happy Easter / Happy Easter!
